First Bath Together!

Jack has been waiting for this moment for quite some time...he was finally able to take a bath with his little brother. Tyler has been sitting well for a week or so now, so we brought out the tub seat and they celebrated this monumental achievement in style! What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon? We sure couldn't think of any! Tyler enjoyed it, as did Jack. I'm not sure who had the better time! Tyler was smiling and splashing and Jack enjoyed "teaching" Tyler all about the big bath tub. Here's a peek at our special day...

Five Month Old Tyler

Tyler is almost 6 months old now. How did he get so big so fast? This past month he's started sitting, blowing raspberries, turning to voices, following all of us around the room (with his eyes), sleeping more consistently at night (note I did not say THROUGH the night), flown on a plane, traveled on his first vacation, drank from a cup and more. It all happens so fast.

Tyler's First Date

I know my friends in the South will be disheartened to know that Tyler's first date was with a Yankee girl from Boston, but so it goes. MY family will be proud! We traveled to Boston this week and I was able to catch up with my BBC friend, Amy, and her cute as pie baby girl, Zoe. Zoe and Tyler are 2 weeks apart in age. The 'date' was adorable and we moms had a great time too!

Today Tyler had his first drink of water. It was from Mommy's glass. As you can see, he REALLY liked it! (And that's Mimi in the chair - my mom)

A Look Back (Waaaay Back)

Dug out the old photo albums today. No real reason, just had some time on my hands and have been wondering lately who Tyler resembles. Literally half of the people I encounter say "He looks JUST like you!" and the other half say "Oh, he sure looks like his Daddy, don't you think?" Honestly, I think he's a great blend, just as Jack is. Parts from each in equal measure. So, I usually say "He sure looks like a Halbert!" Here's what I was able to find from each of us at about the same age...decide for yourself! Feel free to leave a comment, as I'd love to hear what you think!
